Bradley County School Board Meeting 08-08-24

The Bradley County School Board met yesterday. 

The school board recognized Dr. Linda Cash as being selected as the Regional Superintendent of the Year by the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents. 

The Board also voted unanimously to name the new playground at Michigan Avenue Elementary after long-time school supporter, Jackie Evans. 

Zack Pike, Safety Director for Bradley County Schools asked the Board to approve a three-year contract for a Security Alert system. The system will help schools better communicate with 911 and first responders. The board unanimously approved the project. 

The Board approved a 1% additional salary increase for all employees. The board had previously approved a 2% raise this spring. The additional 1% will give all employees a total of a 3% increase this year.  

The Board’s next meeting is September 12th.
