9/3/24 - Bradley County Commission Voting Session
The Bradley County Commission met on Tuesday, covering several items of business. During the meeting, Tom Crye was re-elected as chairman unanimously, 14-0. Bill Winters was re-elected vice-chair with nine votes. Cindy Slater had five votes. Other various reappointments took place with Ethics Committee, Library Board, and the Archives Committee. Councilman Blake announced that the library has an upcoming program - called Loving My Library - where there will be no fines for items brought back in September (except hot spots and attraction passes) as well as free replacement library cards. A resolution was passed authorizing the Mayor to sell approximately 0.46 acres on the left side of the road, as well as 0.46 acres on the right side of the road, of Bradley County property located on Stuart Road, following a public bid to Dakota Sage, a Tennessee General Partnership, for an amount of $4,000. The motion passed 14-0.
