Bradley Co Commission 06-10-25
County Mayor Gary Davis distributed updated budget amendments, approved by the finance committee last week. The revised pages reflect minor changes, including a state grant adjustment from $861,000 to $656,000 and a $5,000 change to the commission’s line item.
Mayor Davis also requested that two resolutions be added to next week’s agenda: one to approve a contractor to concrete the Minnis Road Fire Station parking lot, and another to close out a decades-old HUD housing grant fund. The $161,000 in that fund would remain reserved for future housing-related projects but be moved into a general reserve account for more flexibility.
Commissioner Milan Blake reviewed certified tax rates provided by the state. The new county-wide property tax rate will drop from $1.43 to 99.04 cents. The urban fire rate will decrease to 23.99 cents, and the fire fringe rate to 21.82 cents.
Mayor Davis’ proposed 2025-2026 budget does not include a property tax increase.
