Bradley County Commission 02-25-25

County Mayor Gary Davis reminded Commissioners the show "County Rescue", which debuted this past weekend, features our local County EMS. The show will air on Sunday nights at 8 pm on The Great American Family Channel or PureFlix.

During District updates, 7th District Commissioner, Bill Winters congratulated Lake Forest Middle School’s Show Choir, Revolution on their recent 1ST place finishes in competitions against show choirs from across the country.

6th District Commissioner Tim Mason reminded Commissioners that the county Household Hazardous Waste Day will take place on May 10th from 8 am-noon at the Bradley County Judicial Complex on Blythe Avenue.

During remarks from the audience, Kim Ledford, mother of Dustin Ledford, who was killed by a drunk driver on APD 40 15 years ago, expressed her concern on the recently proposed resolution that would amend the Bradley County Beer permit application procedure to allow the sale of beer and like products 185 feet of schools, churches, and other public gathering areas. Currently, the distance in the County is set at 750 feet. The resolution would have made the distance the same as the City of Cleveland. However, the motion was tabled during the last County Commission meeting. Ledford said she was in attendance to speak out against the measure should it come before the Commission again.

The next meeting of the County Commission will be on Monday, March 3rd at 7 pm.
