From Local 3 News: Over the weekend, Athens police arrested two people in separate incidents at the same location, on two separate days.
On Saturday December 13, there was a domestic incident at 322 Lynn Avenue. Athens police said they arrested Skyler Farrar and charged him with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and retaliation for past actions.
The next day, December 14, law enforcement were called back out to the home for a "shots fired" call. Athens police said a suspect in a white Chrysler PT Cruiser fired shots toward the home, striking an outbuilding on the property.
Nobody was injured in the shooting.
McMinn County deputies helped Athens police locate a suspect, who they identified as Robert Gaston.
Authorities found a weapon, which they believe was used in the shooting, from Gaston's home in McMinn County.
Athens police said they charged Gaston with tampering with evidence and resisting arrest, and more charges are pending. In addition, police say the Tennessee Highway Patrol has charges on Gaston, stemming from an unrelated incident.
Athens' police chief asks that anyone with information on these incidents contact Lt. Blake Witt at 423-744-2730.
