Happy Fall Break to students and educators in Bradley County and Cleveland schools as well as Lee University students! I'm sure this break was needed for a lot of us this week, so congratulations! You made it!

  • This weekend we're waking up to some chilly mornings at 43 degrees and warming back up in the afternoon with temperatures in the upper 80s. That means that we can finally break out those sweaters in the morning, but probably shed them by mid-afternoon.

Halloween is in full swing this weekend! The schedule is stocked FULL of fun and spooky activities for all ages. The "Boo in the Zoo" at the Chattanooga Zoo is sure to give you a spook-tacular time with bounce houses, costumes, and zoo animals of course! This is just one of the MANY fun and kid-friendly events happening this weekend and throughout October. Let's take a look!

Hocus Pocus Fall Market

Halloween Trail Fest

Friday October 11th
Great Bowls of Fire - Annual Chili Cook Off
  • Location: The Bus Bar & Grill
    • Address:  522 US-64, Ocoee, TN 37361
  • Time: Chili on the table by 7pm ; judging and awards at 9pm
  • More Info: 
    • Bring your best chili creation (in a crock pot) and any garnishes you'd like. The Bus will provide tasting bowls, but it's up to you to bring the heat!

      • Bragging Rights
      • Bus Bucks 
    • $5 at the door for sampling 

Painting on the Patio 
  • Location: Plus Ultra Coffee

Boo in the Zoo

    • Features merry-not-scary decorations, trick-or-treat stations, a bounce house, scavenger hunts, costume shows, and of course, some of your favorite Zoo animals.

    • Zoo will close early at 3:30 that afternoon to prepare for the event

Saturday October 12th
Ye Olde Library Faire
