Chamber of Commerce announces 2024-25 Class of Youth Leadership Cleveland
The Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce has selected the 2024-25 Class of Youth Leadership Cleveland.
The Chamber is excited to share the Youth Leadership Cleveland Class of 2024-25, made up of 24 students representing Bradley Central High School (7), Cleveland High School (6), Tennessee Christian Preparatory School (3), Walker Valley High School (7), and Homeschool (1): Ellen Adams, Mayaa Aggrey, Gabe Anderson, Isaac Augustine, Braylon Beard, Mary Evelyn Beasley, Savannah Betancourt, Hannah Bowers, Emma Brafford, Johnny Brafford, Carson Cannon, Bryn Corley, Sydney Creekmore, Davis Ensley, Maguire Evans, CT Gunter, Lily Hakes, Sofia Jasso, Anastasia Ladd, Audrey Lyles, Kaylee Oliver, Anderson Ritzhaupt, Juan Tellez, and Mario Ulloa.
Each student was chosen by a committee made up of Leadership Cleveland alumni through an application process. More than 60 applications were submitted. The program, led by Danielle Seals, Workforce Development Director, encompasses 8-months and gives the students opportunities to learn about the local economy, heritage and tourism, city and county government and services, and health and human services.
“This program is built to encourage, reinforce, and prepare young leaders for their future, regardless of where they may end up,” says Seals. “It will open their eyes to future possibilities and how they can lead and serve within their community, showing them what opportunities are accessible right here at home.”
The 2024-25 Youth Leadership class will participate in a service project for Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland that will include a challenge for each school to raise funds for the local organization and an investment of “sweat equity” by working on a Habitat house or in the Habitat ReStore.
