Bradley County Commission meeting recap
The Bradley County Commission met yesterday for a work session.
During the meeting, County Mayor Gary Davis presented a resolution for renewing an agreement with Cintas for county fire department uniforms. The resolution will be placed on the next voting session’s agenda.
Davis also discussed the purchase of eight brand-new chest compression systems from a grant received by Bradley County EMS. The new LUCAS devices were used 5 times over the past weekend. Each device costs almost $25k. The Mayor is hopeful that EMS can receive future grants to purchase 4 more devices so all county EMS vehicles will be equipped with the compression system.
7th District Commissioner Josh Rogers presented two rezoning requests with resolutions. For both requests, the Planning Commission voted to recommend approval.
Both requests are to rezone the property for Rural Residential use. The first requests to rezone property located at 3784 Benton Pike NE and Cedars Creek Crossing Road SE and the second requests to rezone property located at 4050 Spring Place Road SE.
Both resolutions have been placed on the next voting session agenda.
6th District Commissioner, Tim Mason announced a Tire Take Back Event on September 28th, 8 am until noon at the Bradley County Justice Center. The event is sponsored by Keep America Beautiful.
The Commission will next meet on September 16th at 7:00 PM in the Bradley County Courthouse.
