UPDATE: CPD identifies two people killed in wrong-way crash on I-75 Tuesday morning
From Local 3 News: UPDATE: Chattanooga police are investigating a crash on I-75 Tuesday morning that killed two people and seriously hurt a child.
It happened shortly after 2:00am on the northbound side of the interstate near Shallowford Road.
Police say 37-year-old Kalyn Theobald was driving the wrong way on the northbound side in a Nissan Sentra, when she hit a Honda Accord head-on.
The collision caused the Honda to spin out before it was hit a second time by a tractor-trailer.
Police say Theobald and 65-year-old Richard Howard Sadowitz, who was driving the Honda, died at the scene.
A child who was a passenger in the Nissan and was taken to a local hospital with what police say are life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
