From Local 3 News: UPDATE, 8/27/24: Bradley County Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire in Royal Oaks subdivision Sunday evening at 366 Live Oak Trail.
All three victims have succumbed to their injuries.
The victims have been identified as:
- Benjamin Lawrence Sr., 93 years old
- Benjamin Lawrence Jr., 75 years old
- Adrian Lawrence, 73 years old
Upon arriving at the scene, Bradley County Fire & Rescue found the home engulfed in heavy smoke and flames. Tragically, Benjamin Lawrence Jr. was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two victims, Benjamin Lawrence Sr. and Adrian Lawrence, were transported to Bradley Medical Center in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, both later passed away from their injuries.
Fire investigators from Bradley County Fire Rescue, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and the 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office have completed their investigation: Due to the extensive damage at the home the cause of the fire will be listed as “Undetermined”.

On Sunday, August 25, Bradley County Fire Rescue (BCFR) responded to a residential fire off of Live Oak Trail.
A release from BCFR said that responders arrived to find heavy smoke and intense flames coming from the home.
Firefighters entered the structure to find three victims inside. One was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bradley County EMS transported two men in critical condition to Bradley Medical Center.
The two were treated for their injuries and brought to a burn center in Atlanta for further care.
Investigators from BCFR, the TBI, and the 10th Judicial District Attorney's Office are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
"We are grateful for the assistance of TriState Mutual Aid on coverage for the county, and the support of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office," said BCFR Spokesman Adam Lewis.
