Bradley County Commission 07-21-25 - Building and Land Meeting

The commission approved a resolution to rezone 3410 Benton Pike to general industrial use, and 874 South McDonald Road to rural commercial. The McDonald Road rezoning passed 12-1 after a public hearing with both support and opposition from nearby residents.

A proposal to rezone land on Waterlevel Highway for a large mobile home park and campground failed unanimously, 0-13, after planning commission recommendation to deny.

Commissioners passed several motions, including:

A payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement with LINDE Inc.

$3,335 from the Public Water Fund to support a waterline extension on Moore Circle Road.

Awarding a service handgun to Lieutenant Cheryl Holloway upon retirement next August.

Approving closure of the right-of-way on Kersey Road NE.

$2.1 million tornado recovery grant to support EMA relocation and community organizations.

The commission will meet again Monday, July 28th at 7 pm at the Bradley County Courthouse.
