Bradley County Board of Education 08-14-25
Director of Schools Dr. Linda Cash reported a strong start to the school year, highlighted improvements in achievement rates, and introduced Britain Sapp, a BCHS student recently appointed by Governor Bill Lee to serve as a student member of the Tennessee State Board of Education.
Representative Dan Howell was also in attendance and honored with a proclamation for Walker Valley High School’s girls’ softball team for their state championship win last year.
The board approved an updated lease for the Family Resource Agency’s East Cleveland building, and a $400,000 deductive change order for the Hopewell construction project.
A motion passed for Dr. Cash to work with architects on planning and cost assessments for a new county elementary school. Dr. Cash plans to report back to the board in October.
The next board meeting is September 9th.
