Bradley County Board of Education 10-16-25
The Bradley County School Board met last night.
The board approved the 2027-2028 Academic Calendar by a 7-0 vote. Teachers voted on two proposed options that fell under state guidelines. The board approved the one voted on by the majority of teachers.
The board heard from staff that the system remains in full compliance according to the 2025 Local Education Agency Compliance Report, which required no corrective actions.
Board members approved three budget amendments involving new revenue and grants. These include a Public School Safety Grant, the fourth year of the Innovative School Model Grant for CTE, and a Public Education Foundation Grant for STEM lab work.
The TISA Accountability Report was approved by a vote of 7-0. The report is required annually by the Department of Education.
The board also approved $300,000 in funding over two years for the Inspiration Hub at the PIE Center, a partnership with Junior Achievement focused on financial literacy and career exploration.
Walker Valley High School received approval to construct an Ag/FFA Pole Barn next to the greenhouse using less than $10,000 from the Innovative School Model Grant.
The board approved a three-year contract with Pathful, a new career assessment platform that replaces the current system. Pathful offers more comprehensive features, better service, and a discount compared to the previous provider.
