Jenkins Restaurant and Deli founder, Kay Jenkins-Cowan, has passed away. The restaurant’s management released the following statement yesterday:
“We come to you with heavy hearts as we have lost our founder, matriarch, and friend, Kay Jenkins-Cowan. Kay was a community leader that never met a stranger and loved each of her guests like family and always had a beautiful smile to welcome everyone.
The family is thankful for each of you and asks for your prayers in the coming days.
Jenkins Deli and Jenkins Market and Grille will be operating normal business hours today and we will post when we will be closed for services.”
Kay Jenkins-Cowan was 76.
