From News Channel 9: A man who deputies recently arrested on counterfeit fentanyl charges may have ties to a recent overdose death in Rhea County, authorities say.

 

Deputies with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation searched the home of Jesse Luke Westlake back on April 16th.

There, they found counterfeit fentanyl pills and almost $200 in cash, according to a post by the Rhea County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page on Monday, June 18th.

Deputies booked Westlake on several narcotics charges.

 

Now, according to Monday’s post, authorities say during this investigation, “TBI Agents were able to link Mr. Westlake to an overdose death in our community.”
