From Local 3 News: Bradley County Deputies responded to a reported burglary on April 25th on Skylar Drive.

The victim informed authorities that she had been hospitalized at Tennova Hospital from April 18th to April 22nd. Upon returning home, the victim discovered a string of unauthorized credit card transactions and missing personal items from her home.

The cards were used in eight separate transactions totaling $568 between April 20th and April 22nd, all while the victim was hospitalized.

Deputies investigating the case unearthed crucial evidence, including surveillance footage from a transaction at TJ Maxx on April 21st. The video showed a male and female making purchases using the victim’s stolen card.

Photos of the suspects were posted on the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, resulting in multiple tips identifying the female suspect as Selena Rider, 45, a lab worker at Tennova Hospital, and the male suspect as Gustavo Garcia.

Authorities discovered that both suspects resided at the same address in Athens.

Both suspects are being charged with aggravated burglary, theft under $1,000, and eight counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. A court date has been set for both suspects on May 30th.
