From News Channel 9: 5 people in Rhea County face charges after a county-wide drug sting by the sheriff’s office earlier this month.
In some cases, TBI agents intercepted some packages of illegal drugs that were sent by U.S. mail.
The Rhea County Sheriff’s Office shared details of the June 12th bust on their Facebook page this week. Check out our photo gallery above to see what was seized and who now faces charges.
The arrests warrants were served at several locations in the County by sheriff’s office narcotics detectives, the TBI, and probation officers with the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
The post says while serving 10 active warrants on 6 suspects, deputies seized approximately:
- 18.3 grams of fentanyl
- 28.9 grams of methamphetamines
- 2 dosage units of hydrocodone
- 417 grams of marijuana
- $942 of U.S. currency
- 2 counterfeit $20 bills
On the same day, the post says
TBI Agents also intercepted packages through the local United States Postal Service containing 14.91 lbs. of psilocybin mushroom candy bars, 7.2 lbs. of psilocybin mushroom gummies, 1.25 lbs. of psilocybin mushrooms and 1 lb. of marijuana wax.

- Adam Lee: 1 count of violation of probation; 2 counts contempt of court; 1 count of attempt of theft of property $1,000-$2500; 1 count of possession of schedule II methamphetamine with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver; 1 count of possession of drug paraphernalia and 2 counts of conspiracy to commit criminal simulation
- Terri Burton: 1 count of violation of probation; 1 count failure to appear; 1 count schedule II possession and 1 count possession of drug paraphernalia
- Isaac Fugate: 1 count of theft of property (shoplifting) less than $1,000
- Johnny Sizemore: 1 count of violation of probation and 1 count failure to appear
- Bradley Amburn: 1 count of intentional tampering with, removal or vandalism of device
